The Portland Beavers were a minor league baseball team that played in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) from 1903 to 2010. Initially, the team was known as the Portland Browns when they first began playing in 1903, participating in the PCL’s inaugural game, which they lost 3-1 on the road. Over the years, the team underwent several name changes, becoming the Portland Giants in 1905 before finally settling on the name Portland Beavers in 1906.
