Based in Seguin, Texas, the Toros took the field in 1976 as part of the Class A Gulf States League, a short-lived circuit that gave small Texas towns their shot at organized ball before folding almost as fast as it started. One season, one roster, one shot at the record books, and that’s exactly the kind of history that doesn’t survive unless someone keeps saying the name.
