Montreal Expos were a Major League Baseball (MLB) team based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They were the first MLB franchise located outside the United States, playing from 1969 until 2004 in the National League East division. The team was named after Expo 67, the World’s Fair held in Montreal. Initially playing at Jarry Park Stadium, they moved to Olympic Stadium in 1977 and also played some home games at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico, during their final two seasons (2003–2004)15.
