Prince Charles and Princess Diana opened the gates on May 2nd and what followed was 165 days of pure spectacle on the shores of False Creek. Over 22 million visitors flooded the site drawn by monorails, gondola skyrides, 54 national pavilions, and a city that was quietly reinventing itself on the world stage. No world’s fair has been held in North America since.
